Wonderful Snow Globe Commemorating A Pet This is beginning of our Pets Series , We start with a Snow Globe for your lost pet or for a gift to a friend who recently lost a pet . A nice way to show you care and remember. To make this design here are the color info how to complete. To make a globe: Color 1 is placement stitch for the backing of your globe I suggest putting a nice lightweight color to match the colors you will use for the globe base. Or you can just use a nice pale bluish, or dark blue nigt sky color. Color 2 and 3 are the bottom of the globe the base area . Red and green for Xmas but change them to Silver, Gold or any color that fits your gift design idea. Color 4 is the Design and Color 5 is the Snow and Droplets . The snow and droplets are shown as white but if you slow down your machine a silver color on the dark blue background is wonderful once completed. Color 6 is the Top Bowl area If you are going to use a plastic type cover on your globe now is the time to lay it down over the globe round area, Color 7 will do the tack stitch to hold it down. Trim plastic area if needed after tack stitch. The last color 8 will be the satin stitch that goes around the whole design. If you are going to make a two sided globe then I suggest you make both globes then find a small sponge or fluffy quilt batting or cotton fluff then glue to center of back and then tack the two globes wrong sides together you will then have a puffy snow globe. You can place a nice Ribbon to make it hanging or just do one sided globe and put inside a nice inexpensive frame . Everyone who has ever lost a pet will love this thoughtful and heartfelt gift. |
